Izotope Iris 2 Vs Omnisphere 2 3

Oct 04, 2016  Soundescpae has launched Synthetica, a sound pack featuring a collection of 196 patches for Omnisphere 2 instrument by Spectrasonics, and 174 patches for iZotope’s Iris sample-based synthesizer. Synthetica features a lot of pads, as well as playable textures, poly synths, bells. With Iris 2, Izotope more or less ignored the forward thinking tools, added many questionable synth elements, broke many things and completely busted backward compatibility. On top of that, since Iris 2 didn't sell, it's now essentially abandonware. Are Iris 1 and 2 incredible?
